As the Manager of the Quality Control Department you will be responsible for planning and overseeing the activities related to the verification and validation of the products supplied by our company and the control of the supplies needed for the production process. You also develop and review the existing procedures, methods and systems in the manufacture of the equipment within the Sulzer Burgos factory, ensuring that they comply with the contractual requirements, the Group’s standards and the applicable existing International Regulations (EN, ISO, ASME, API 610).

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Review the quality scope of each of the projects and supervise that the scopes are met.

• Maintain current SULZER inspector qualification records of PND, NACE, etc.

• Control of the calibration process of inspection, measurement and testing equipment as defined in the applicable procedures.

• Ensure/organize the visual, dimensional, and documentary inspection: (i) upon receipt, (ii) in process and (iii) at the final inspection of the equipment. (Perform non¬destructive testing in accordance with the quality plan and applicable procedures, review those performed by SULZER inspectors and those performed by suppliers)

• Inspect the CMTR (Certificates of Materials and Test Reports) to ensure that they comply with the requirements of the quality plan and applicable standards, indicating in the ERP system their approval.

• Liquid penetrant and VTs.

• Balancing and painting test protocols.

• Contracting NDEs from qualified third parties when applicable.

• Design, development and implementation of the control and management of nonconformance products in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements

• Identification and control of non-conformities

• Work closely with suppliers to align SULZER's requirements into their processes.

• Review and approve inspection reports received from suppliers.

• Review and approve inspection and test reports made by SULZER inspectors.

• Attending the different inspections witnessed by customers.

• Ensure compliance with the systems and procedures developed to ensure the safety and health of workers and the protection of the environment

• Ensure the availability and validity of risk assessments and workplace operating procedures pertaining to the department's operations.

• Ensure that workers have been provided with adequate levels of training and awareness.

• Ensure that adequate PPE is provided and that workers wear PPE when necessary.

• Identify, propose, and make improvements with the objective of increasing productivity.

• Provide information for the periodic reporting of the Sulzer Group

• Participate in Root Cause Analysis

• Participate in audits of the Integrated Management System

• Interactions with the Quality Assurance area for the projects assigned.

• Review of Quality Specifications

• Produce ITPs and variance lists.

• Participate in internal project kick-off meeting.

• Create the purchasing quality specification for suppliers.

• Create final ITP for customer approval.

• Creation of quality documentation, e.g. Procedures and Review of Customer Feedback

• Review of supplier quality documentation and clarify doubts.

• Emission of pump quality certificates

What you bring to Sulzer:

• Bachelor's Degree or Industrial Technical Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum experience of 2 years in dimensional and documentary inspections in companies in the metal sector.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in carrying out paint tests and mechanical tests.

• Minimum experience of 2 years with technical and quality requirements of rotating equipment.

• Good knowledge of applicable regulations - ISO, EN, ASME, API 610

• Knowledge of welding processes

• Training in the performance of Liquids Penetration Test.

• Training in the performance of dimensional metrology calibrations.

• Microsoft Office.

• Fluent English.
