Join the global Finance, Investments, Treasury & Payments team as an SAP Frontend Developer Lead here in Spain. We service a worldwide customer base and explore opportunities to implement latest technologies to improve our services.
As SAP Frontend Developer Lead you will be responsible for leading Zurich SAP frontend development initiatives throughout the entire application lifecycle including the design, implementation, and maintenance, providing clear technology and process direction, and ensuring that they are in line with Zurich technology and security standards.
Your role
The SAP Frontend Developer Lead directs the technical activities, analysis and design of the SAP frontend and cloud development solutions.
Develops standards and practices that direct the day-to-day operations of the frontend development team. This includes creating current and future state architectures, solutions, and providing guidance and sharing to the technical team while working closely with other IT, suppliers, and business partners.
Drives technical decisions, reviews, and is accountable in delivering enterprise level technical solutions while ensuring the solutions meet Zurich IT architectural best practice, compliance, security quality standards and business requirements.
This position will work with and lead internal and external team resources, establish, and ensure adherence to Zurich standards, processes, and procedures.
As a Sap Frontend Developer Lead, your main responsibilities will involve :
- Responsible for delivering solutions for SAP UI5 / FIORI / Cloud applications, providing technical leadership in the delivery
- Own the design of conceptual architecture and technical solutions. Develop and document standards for SAP UI5 / FIORI / Cloud applications architecture framework, including tooling, processes, security, and quality.
- Provide recommendation for technology optimization / tuning. Lead performance enhancement initiates once solution in production
- Engage with other colleges with the wider team to drive innovation, share knowledge and support each other.
- Lead a team of frontend developers and guide them to deliver technical development expertise and solutions. Using a variety of development toolkits, including, but not limited to, SAP UI5, FIORI, Workflow, and SAP BTP products.

Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will ideally have :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in SAP with focus on Frontend / Cloud technologies : UI5, SAP Fiori (HTML5 / UI5 / NetWeaver Gateway), Mobility, SAP (BTP) Workflow, SAP BTP Products (Integration, Process visibility, Launchpad ) and Low Code No Code platforms
- Required experience in SAP Fiori components, Fiori Launchpad (BTP) and Extending Fiori Apps, Create / Extend SAP Fiori Apps, working with SAP BAS
- 3 years of experience as SAP frontend development lead / solution architect
- 3 years of experience in Cloud operations : AWS / SAP BTP
- Strong knowledge in system integrations
- Strong knowledge and experience with DevOps and CI / CD tools
- Holistic solution, design and architecture skills
- ABAP programming experience , including REST / Odata
- HANA modelling and CDS views is a plus
- Very good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
