Our opportunity


To work with internal Zurich teams and external IT suppliers on delivering strategic initiatives/projects within the FinInv & SAP Strategy portfolio. This ranges from standalone projects to multiple global deployments of several common core solutions.

Your role

As a SAP Senior Project Manageryour main responsibilities will involve
  • Successful delivery of assigned projects.
  • End to end project management accountability to time, resources, budget, and quality.
  • Ensure that Business Requirements are met with new or enhanced technical solutions, designed and delivered to production efficiently, in keeping with Group infrastructure and application service delivery standards.
  • Support design, build, test and cutover activities, proactively defining and managing risks to solution delivery.
  • Ensure technical solution requirements are challenged, and if legitimate, met with solutions delivered according to accepted Group standards.
  • Stakeholder management for assigned projects and key business partners.

Your Skills and Experience

As a SAP Senior Project Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Insurance industry project and service management experience, especially for new system deployments including infrastructure and application solution delivery. Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or equivalent is a plus.
  • Solid technical skills preferably with broad knowledge of SAP FI/CO and other modules, as well as integration solutions, technology platforms and solution delivery best practices.
  • Agile skills.
    • Agile qualification.
    • Proven experience as Agile Master in the implementation of large programs, challenging the progress of the teams and tracking achievement of key deadlines.
    • Able to and empowered to support Product Owner(s) in their role of steering the program on a day-by-day basis.
  • The projects for the Actuarial Application Portfolio will be an important area of focus. Experience in the Actuarial environment will be valued as a plus.
  • Strong analytical ability to use an appreciation of mathematical models in order to identify dependencies and sequence of calculations and their dependencies on the data models.
  • Strong experience translating business requirements and expectations into workable technical solutions and delivery plans.
  • Subject Matter Expert level of understanding of system architecture, solution delivery, build, test and quality assurance activities, including operational readiness assessments and post-implementation support.
  • Ability to explain, discuss and challenge key technical design topics with technology and business peers.
  • Able to work independently across multidisciplinary teams and locations.
  • Understanding of cloud services operating models.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and implementation
  • Delivery Governance and associated Frameworks.
  • Significant experience in working on cross-border projects and diverse cultural settings.
  • Highly experienced in building up and managing stakeholder relationships and removing obstacles towards a win/win outcome.
  • Advanced English, written and verbal.
