Senior Backend Java Engineer

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software solutions using different Java applications and web technologies, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.

The impact you'll make:

• Design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Parser’s engineering teams.
• Work with engineers across the company to build new features at a large scale.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

 Technology stack:

• Server-side Java 11+, ideally Java 17 / Java 21
  
• Java-related Open Source technologies, such as Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience of microservices using SpringBoot + Rest API
  
• Frameworks: Spring boot and nice to have Redis + Open JDK
• Open source RDBMS technologies such as PostgreSQL and nice to have Couch Base.
• Cloud: AWS, Azure.
• Queues: RabbitMQ and nice to have Kafka, ActiveMQ
• Testing: JUnit , Cucumber (Gherkin Syntax).
• Tools: IntelliJ, Pgadmin, Postman, Confluence, Slack & Jira.
• Other specifications: OOP + Postman or similar and nice to have Snyk + Splunk + Prometheus + Sonarqube
  

What you'll bring to us:

• 6+ years of experience with Java
• Experience building backend infrastructure.
• Experience working on REST API in a microservices architecture.
• IS a must: REST API + Spring Boot experience, good practices, clean code, design patterns, microservices, work autonomously
• Think about systems and services and write high-quality code.
• We work mostly in Java. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
