As part of our evolution to become a more Data Driven Company, ViiV Healthcare Spain is looking to incorporate a new role which will become a pivotal to speed up on our transformation journey.
This role will contribute to stablish the critical requirements in terms of Data Foundations to better address Business needs and maximize the knowledge we host in house.
The Business Insights / business translator enables the execution of our data driven strategy by finding the right use cases, liaising between business and data while embedding data solutions into the organization.
We aim to consolidate a hybrid position within the Business Insights partners and the Analytics Consultants who will facilitate a fluent communication and data mindset alignment between the business and the data which will enable the LOC to successfully deliver on initiatives such as Data Driven Customer Experience.
This role will be responsible for bridging the gap between data and business , assuring a correct translation of business needs to analytics / data support and translating analytics results into actionable Business Insights facilitating the decision making process based on data across the organization .
Finally, the new team member will become part of the data mindset ambassadors , building a more data-focused culture and boosting our data driven journey .
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a data and analytical consultant across all other departments including : CoE, Sales, Marketing, Digital, Commercial Decision Support, Data Management, Finance, Forecasting and other partners.
- Support Commercial and Finance stakeholders on the establishment & development of medium-long-range strategic plans by :
- Identifying internal and external strategic issues and opportunities.
- Ability to interpret business questions and consult with primary stakeholders.
- Developing strategic recommendations to optimize revenues and profitability and secure adequate resourcing.
- Ability to work with multiple data sources and identify the most efficient and accurate response to business needs.
- Ability to design analytical responses to business questions and manage projects to their completion / delivery.
- Be the point of contact between Spain an Global Analytics.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research or related field is required
- Working experience on pharma ViiV / Business Insights role would be a plus
- Experience with reporting tools (Power BI)
- It is highly valued to have a master's in Big Data / Data Analytics / Data Science
- Knowledge of SQL
- Fluent in English

- Capability to translate technical solutions and design choices to business implications and vice versa. Ability to translate advanced analytic solutions into business contexts and viceversa.
- General technical data Fluency (understanding of the life cycle of an analytics initiative and the common pitfalls, types of models and to what business problems they can be applied, ability to interpret model results and identify potential model errors, understanding of database modeling )
- Team Member - Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
