Reporting to the Senior Global Commodity Manager, your role involves understanding global business trends, developing commodity strategies, and fostering key supplier partnerships.

Your Role in Action :
Global Business Understanding :
- Communicate global business trends to internal and external stakeholders.
- Segment and define the supply base to align with market dynamics.
Commodity Strategy Development :
- Develop and define commodity strategies aligned with corporate and business unit goals.
- Facilitate cross-functional commodity strategy meetings for collaboration.
Supplier Management :
- Drive the supplier approval process and maintain supplier status through scorecards.
- Act as the single point of contact for the escalation of supplier relationship issues.
Contract Negotiation and Management :
- Negotiate, create, maintain, and enforce all commodity supplier contracts.
- Coordinate with the legal team to ensure contractual obligations minimize risk.
Project Management and Leadership :
- Manage cross-functional teams and commodity review of projects.
- Set negotiation strategy and direction for commodity negotiation settings.
Advanced Technology Integration :
- Act as a purchasing participant on Advanced Technology projects related to commodities.
- Utilize advanced technology knowledge to set the technological direction for commodity strategies.
Qualities We Seek in You :
Supply Market Knowledge :
- Possess knowledge of supply market trends and characteristics.
- Understand associations, trade publications, and indexes related to the commodities market.
Communication Skills :
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Negotiation Skills :
Demonstrated background and proven experience with high-level supplier negotiations and materials management.
Experience :
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Purchasing / Procurement or Materials Management, especially in high volume manufacturing industries.
Language Skills :
Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
Educational Background :
Business School Degree or degree in engineering with knowledge in Materials Management or Logistics.
Technical Proficiency :
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, with advanced abilities in Excel and PowerPoint.
