The Turbine Control department is an integral part of the Siemens Gamesa Technology Development organization that forms the core of our technological leadership.
We continuously aim to be the best in class. To achieve that, we are looking for skilled and passionate Control Engineers for our teams in Spain.
How to contribute to our vision :
We are looking for a very proactive and enthusiastic Senior Control Engineer to work within the Technology Development organization in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE).
In this role it is important that you have a broad experience and background within Control of dynamic systems, preferably in the Wind Industry.
Your mission will be mainly focused on designing, implementing and validating control improvements to feed SGRE products and so contribute to their competitiveness, across the whole product lifecycle.
You will join an international team of very qualified Control Engineers, and work very closely together with other disciplines as loads, aerodynamics, etc.
that will provide you with a broad view of technical aspects around the wind turbines design business, and support you in developing and evolving the biggest Wind Turbines in the Market.
What you need to make a difference :
Most importantly, we are looking for a Senior Control Engineer with passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. So if you :
- Holds an BSc, MSc or PhD degree in Wind Energy Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Have Proven experience with MATLAB / Simulink in both simulation and control development / adjustment
- Preferably knows Latex.
- Are familiar with the use of sensors, actuators and electrical / mechanical systems, with clear understanding of their principles of operation and a good knowledge of how to drive them from control point of view
- Preferably has experience with controller tuning, optimization, and validation in the wind industry.
- Are pro-active coming up with new ideas for improving control strategy
- Have solid language skills in English (written and spoken) to work in our International Team
