The Senior Cost Accountant for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for partnering primarily with Site-level Finance and Operations teams on a day to day basis.  

This position is part of the Finance Team located in Chaska, MN and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the US Manufacturing Finance team, and report to the Finance Manager responsible for Chaska Operations Finance and Accounting. If you thrive in a fast paced, collaborative role and want to work to build a world-class Manufacturing organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform operational accounting, which mainly involves annual cost rolls, reviewing material prices, and ensuring accurate standard costing of inventory items.
  • The month-end close process includes journal entries, account reconciliation, and other inventory adjustments.
  • Inventory flash review, Cycle Count reports, quarterly Excess and Obsolete inventories
  • Support Instruments Group in completing annual budget and monthly forecast, and update periodic forecast.
  • Adhoc – Volume reporting, research Purchase Price and Material Usage variances, working directly with buyers and AP team in resolving Purchase Order issues. Review BOMs and address costing questions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing Standard Costing
  • Excellent communication and Microsoft skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence, Power BI experience
