We are currently looking for a Senior Medical Affairs Lead to serve as a strategic, cross-functional, collaborative link responsible for directed, impactful and audience-appropriate dissemination of scientific materials, and execution of medical initiatives developed by in-house RTI Health Solutions research teams and external clients.
You will perform as a consultant for the development and execution of global medical strategy, medical materials, medical initiatives, and promotional initiatives and materials.
Additionally, you will provide scientific support for investigational study design, patient recruitment, clinical data review, compilation and interpretation, and oversee the development of a clinical research-driven, medical communication and dissemination strategy that includes : development of scientific materials, publication planning and medical writing, strategic medical dissemination through international conferences, clinical sessions, social media presence, public awareness drives, and support for Medical Insight-driven clinical trial planning.
Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities will include :
- Scientific engagement and expansion of business partner networks through function as a strategic scientific subject matter expert.
- Medical Insight Reporting monitoring and collection of medical insights and feedback through attendance of international conferences (and other medical events), review of scientific literature and interaction with business partner networks, regulatory organizations, patients, social media etc.
- Development of continuous training programs for medical teams online training platforms, scientific educational materials, seminars, workshops, FAQs, scripts for proactive and reactive medical visits etc.
- Scientific support for training of affiliate teams including sales representatives, internal staff, and external consultants, etc.
- Provides scientific support for global product launch including : Pre-launch support for market access and clinical landscape investigation, Pre-Launch support for regulatory approval, Investigational brochure review, eCTD submission, feedback integration, negotiation with evaluators , Pre-Launch Medical Education of HCP, KOL network, production of scientific materials and execution of medical communication initiatives for global product launch, and medical and brand plan synergy
- Coordination of Global Affiliates and Subsidiary team activities such as : Multinational, multicultural cross-functional project management for successful execution of locally adapted global medical strategy, and organization, coordination and inventory of medical materials and activities at the global scale.
- Alignment of medical, commercial, regulatory directives and goals : Consensus building for compatibility of medical and brand plans : leadership during cycle meetings, annual strategy meetings, leadership and teambuilding retreats.
- Development / Review of Medical Materials for scientific engagement of HCP / KOL networks by MSLs : Publication summaries and highlights, clinical reports, newsletters, digital platform interactives for virtual medical visits, digital communications, reconstitution guides, administration guides, posters, abstracts, pamphlets, videos etc.
These materials may be in digital and physical formats, delivered online, or in-person, respectively, by the medical team.
- Development, review, and execution of medical initiatives for scientific education, engagement and expansion of HCP / KOL networks, such as : International and National conferences, advisory boards, clinical sessions, think thanks, debates, colloquia.
- Scientific support for commercial promotional initiatives and materials such as : scientific review of promotional materials for sales representative visits, scientific support for planning promotional activities such as business pitches, and scientific support for commercial aspects of product launch.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s level degree with a scientific focus plus 12 years of directly related experience, or :
- Master’s level degree with a scientific focus plus 10 years of directly related experience, or :
- PhD with a scientific focus plus 6 years of directly related experience
