JOB PURPOSE

Straumann Group is a global leader in dental implants and orthodontic solutions, and we are looking for a talented back-end Software Developer to join our team. As part of a growing team of specialists, you will be part of a team of engineers developing software tools for dental professionals and patients, including dentists, surgeons, and dental technicians.
As a back-end Software Developer, you will be working on a microservices based architecture, using your expertise in Java to design and implement high-quality solutions. You will be part of an agile team that values collaboration and creativity, and you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment for a product-based company.
MAIN TASKS
As a back-end Software Developer, you will:
- Design and Develop microservices based architectures.
- Develop and manage databases.
- Test software to ensure quality, data protection and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
- Write technical documentation.
- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
- Find opportunities for collaboration across international teams, work on cross-team commitments, and achieve scale by enabling the work of others.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Higher education in software engineering, computer science or a comparable field (e.g. medical informatics, healthcare electronics), or equivalent work experience.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience shipping commercial software in a role as back-end Software Developer using Java with Spring Boot framework
- Proficiency on microservices architectures
- Experience on code management (Git), releases, code quality
- Experience with databases (e.g. Postgres, SQL Server, …)
- Experience as a teamwork, and communication leader
- Professional fluency in English.

- Experience with healthcare software
