What you’ll do

  • As a member of a multidisciplinary Xcellerex Product care (Install base) project team, the Senior Systems Specialist will lead the design, development, verification, and delivery of automation hardware systems for biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (Xcellerex Bioreactors, Mixers, accessories) to ensure all aspects of the equipment operate to specification.

  • Hands on working and provide technical expertise on Xcellerex Product Life Cycle Management (LCM) tasks-ECR/ECO, Customer cases (complaints/Queries) handling, CAPA investigations, mitigating production stop issues, Design enhancements and design space expansions etc. related to hardware systems.

  • Developing innovative design solutions to enhance or meet all requirements for function, performance, regulatory needs, reliability, serviceability, pertaining to Life sciences Bio-Process industrial automation hardware systems which consists of PLC, Motor drives, sensors, and Control Automation H/W interfaces.

  • Develop strong cross functional relationships with Global R&D teams, supply chain, and quality to successfully drive both short-term and long-term projects to strengthen product sustenance.

  • Work with Quality, regulatory teams to ensure UpToDate product risk management files (RMF), sustain product compliance.

Who you are

  • BE in Electronics and communication /Instrumentation and controls Engineering

  • A minimum of 10-12 years industrial experience in design and development of industrial automation and control hardware development.

  • Proven expertise in Automation hardware development-Experience in selection, Design and troubleshooting of PLC, Motor drives, Power supplies, I/O devices, Sensors, I/O Panels, and proven expertise in integrating these devices to the system.

  • Expertise in design/selection/creation/modification of electrical schematics for wiring sensors, transmitters, devices, etc. in I/O cabinets. Experience with 2D electrical computer aided design like AutoCAD Electrical/3D tools like E-Plan.

  • Experience in design of I/O cabinets for Automation panel, Component’s selection, layout design of cable/wire routings for I/O cabinets etc.

  • Hands on experience in design calculations-Power, Thermal etc. Critical components selection and evaluation for system level design.

  • Demonstrated ability to design industrial automation hardware systems to meet regulatory standards (NFPA, CE Marking, LVD)

  • Working knowledge of creating product Risk Management Files (RMF) and updating them periodically based on regulatory needs, design changes.

  • Experience in working with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) & Engineering Change Requests (ECR). Full knowledge of PLM or Equivalent. Working knowledge in design verification and testing, defect handling and ALM systems.

  • Experience in authoring and reviewing standard operating procedures, Technical/Evaluation reports, and other controlled documents.

  • Experience on design documentation to comply with ISO and QMS systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities using analytical and logical thinking skills, continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.  Must be a self-starter.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent teamwork, coordination
