The opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Senior Test Analyst with expertise managing and delivering testing for SAP SuccessFactors and Data Integration to drive Talent projects forward. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning and executing testing for SAP SuccessFactors with other systems and data sources, contributing to the success of our Talent initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integration Testing:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate data integration processes
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data transformation and migration activities
- SQL Expertise:
- Create and optimize SQL queries to validate data and business rules.
- Interpret and modify existing SQL queries and stored procedures as needed
- ETL Tool Proficiency:
- Collaborate with the AE team to test data extraction and transformation processes using tools like SSIS and Informatica
- Verify data mapping and transformation between systems
- Web Services and API Testing:
- Perform testing of web services and APIs to guarantee the accuracy and security of data exchange between applications
- Validate data flows through APIs and identify potential issues
- Test Automation:
- Collaborate with the automation testing team to automate test cases where applicable
- Maintain and update automated test scripts to improve efficiency
- Test Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results for traceability and reference
- Defect Management:
- Identify, report, and track defects using defect tracking tools.
- Work closely with development teams to facilitate defect resolution
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in testing methodologies
- Suggest and implement improvements in testing processes and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in data integration testing.
- Exceptional SQL skills, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as SSIS and Informatica.
- Experience in web services and API testing.
- Prior programming experience in SQL, Python, C#, or similar languages is a significant plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
To qualify for this role
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; additional certifications in testing or SAP SuccessFactors preferred
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst with a focus on Talent systems, SAP SuccessFactors, and data integration
- As a Test Analyst, 5 to 8 years of industry experience preferably in Talent
