Mission and main objectives :
Ride&Handling and VDC development test activities in NTCE for EUR projects
Main tasks and responsibilities :
- To understand NISSAN Ride&Handling and VDC test methodology.
- To manage PROJECT development test plans including resources management (Manpower, vehicle, test parts, facility, and suppliers)
- To manage development & homologation testing for EV / HEV / ICE model.
- To issue Ride&Handling, VDC performance validation judgement test reports.
- To work on market concerns investigations.
- To carry out competitors benchmarking evaluation & detailed performance analysis.
- To maintain adequate communication ways with design teams to level performance, raise concerns and validate best possible solutions.
- To maintain fluent communication with marketability teams to agree development direction and understand customer preferences.
- To join decision events where Ride & Handling performances are judged and be able to support questions from key persons.
- To develop new chassis technology validation / tuning procedure like By-wire STRG, e-Damper, VMC2.0 (Vehicle motion control), VDC2.0, e-4orce, etc.
Background and experience :
- At least 5 years of experience in Automotive Engineering, working in chassis development test position.
- Solid knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics theory and suspension concepts.
- Dynamic chassis control system (ESP) knowledge, vehicles components & CAN communication, e-architecture.
- Experience in chassis systems development tuning (suspension, steering, tires, mechatronics)
- Experience in working with suppliers for the related systems development (suspension, steering, tires, mechatronics).
- Recognized above average driving skills and capacity for subjective evaluation, low and high mu (including winter testing)
- Recognized experience in measuring & data acquisition systems for Ride&Handling and VDC vehicle testing (ex. : Canape / Canalyzer / DDT2000 / V-Box / RT-range / HBM / .).
- Knowledge of European market requirements (customers, scenes, media)
- Good capacity to work autonomously.
- Good capacity to work in new areas where the procedures are not yet defined.
- Good capacity to lead chassis development projects.
- High capacity on problems solving and to look for cross-functional solutions.
- Experience working effectively with the sections related to Dynamic Performance development inside and outside R&D.
- Nissan Way knowledge for global development & EUR market.
- Able to propose new ideas for vehicle development supported with strong technical background.
- Good skills in Excel with knowledge of VBA programming.
- English language fluent.
- Spanish language and / or Catalan recommended.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Availability to travel both nationally and internationally, within the framework of the Nissan travel policy.
