Position: Voluntary Speaker (English Language Assistant) in Spain
EDUCADOS INTERNATIONAL
SPAINISH CULTURAL IMMERSION AND ENGLISH TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
VOLUNTARY SPEAKERS
Educational & Cultural Development Program in Spain
Join us for an exciting 3-month adventure with our Volunteer training and development program, courtesy of Educados International! It's not just an opportunity to gain English teaching skills in a Spanish school; it's a chance to immerse yourself in a new culture and language while living with a volunteer host family.
But hey, this isn't your ordinary program. Nope, it's been crafted with love and care to ensure you're not just a participant, you're a local star and confident English teacher by the end of it! We've got a detailed Monitoring & Evaluation plan to make sure you're reaching your full potential, with continuous feedback from both the school and our organization. If you have ever dreamed of teaching English abroad, filling your passport with travel stamps but are not ready to take the giant leap of going alone in large classes or living on your own and want to experience life as a local than our program is for you!
So, what's in store? Picture this: you'll be placed in a Spanish school helping for 20 classroom hours a week, helping bright young minds shine and improve their English-speaking skills. And guess what? Your accommodation is sorted with a fantastic Volunteer host family who have students attending the same school, meaning no rent, no bills, and delicious meals on the house! Plus, they're connected to your school, so you'll be right in the heart of the local community.
Placements are in Catalonia, the northeast gem of Spain (hello, Barcelona!). We partner with a total of 36 semi-private infant, primary and high schools. We want dynamic personalities who are ready to shake things up and boost those English skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
But wait, there's more! Each of our Voluntary Speakers gets their very own tutor/mentor in the school to guide them through the journey. From settling in to reaching your full potential, they've got your back every step of the way. And those host families? They're not just providing a place free to live with full bed and board accommodation, private bedroom, washing and cleaning facilities, internet and basically everything else expected from them provided; they're opening their hearts and homes to share their culture and learn from yours.
Now, who are we looking for? If you're a native English speaker with a zest for adventure and a passion for learning how to teach English, you're our kind of person. Between 20 and 30 years old, clear criminal background check, and ready to dive into the experience of a lifetime – sound like you?
Ready to dive in? Our selection process is simple. Apply, interview, and then prepare for the adventure of a lifetime. Pack your bags, book those flights, and get ready to make memories that'll last a lifetime.
So what are you waiting for? Apply now. We have three intakes per academic school year. September to Christmas. January to Easter and Easter to June. Get in touch with us at:

Participants benefit from robust support networks comprising teaching staff, receive personalized evaluations from dedicated mentors, and enjoy the comfort of living with a Volunteer host family, where full board (provided by a family whose children attend the same school) is included.By residing with local hosts and immersing themselves in the daily life of the school from day one, participants not only avoid the superficial experience of a tourist but also integrate deeply into the community. This fosters a sense of security and protection, ensuring a smooth transition into their teaching journey.
