To profitable grow our Welding Automation business, we need to leverage scale, enable specialization, and drive standard work effectively.
This position, part of the Global Automation sales team, has as main objective to build a profitable grow of ESAB’s market shares in his / her region and assigned countries and, in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, selling full automation portfolio to current customers, finding & developing current and new sales channels, both direct and indirect, ensuring profitable growth, excellent customer experience and 100% transparency and sales accountability from start to finish.
The position will report directly to the Welding Automation Europe Sales Manager and will work, in coordination with the Regional flow business sales reps, to deliver growth at end user level and meet business financial targets expectations.
The Welding Automation Territory Manager is a talented proven commercial-technical professional with significant experience in growing semi-complex businesses, work both with direct and indirect channels, with expertise in time management, strategic self-planning, marketing and business development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Specific duties include, but are not limited to :
- Achieve or exceed targeted sales growth through maintaining and developing long term customer relationships, a structured approach to account pursuit with effective use of growth plans.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Be proactive in executing the ESAB Automation Global / Regional growth strategy.
- Support the Regional team with market / sales activities in cooperation with the regional flow sales team.
- Perform the daily operational sales tasks and proactively capture new customers ensuring continuous market share growth.
- Follow ESABs commercial process and standard work included value selling and reporting systems.
- Live ESAB values, follow and implement the corporation’s rules and policies.
- Daily implementation of the safety culture and driving of safety improvement initiatives
- Embrace a continuous improvement environment.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Command on local Languages (Spanish is mandatory, Portuguese will be highly considered a plus) + proficiency in English for business.
- Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline or demonstrable experience in similar positions is required.
- Proven industrial product knowledge and experience; industrial sales experience, with welding or related sales experience and good at problem-solving and particularly skilled on capital goods sales.
- Skilled on building long term partnerships.
- Business acumen to understand financial information as well as company’s operations and strategy.
- Strong communication, planning, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrable experience in exceeding sales quotas and success on identifying and acquiring new customers.
- Ability to effectively develop and execute account strategies.
- Proven track record operation at multiple levels within an organization (from shop floor technical experts to CEO / CFO levels)
- Proficiency in MS Office365, demonstrable use of CRM tools and being used to do sales reporting.
- Travelling 50%+ of the working time, including overnight travel as it might be required.
Responsible for meeting sales objectives for a given territory. Utilizes extensive technical sales expertise to achieve or exceed sales objectives, goals, and targets that typically focus on developing new accounts and or expanding existing accounts.
Identifies pursuing and establishing sales leads and prospects. Develops and maintains customer relationships representing the Company in best light.
Educates customers on products & services. Completes and submits required documentation and procedures. Required to comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices in a professional manner.
Wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Typically requires a degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
