Direct TAX Process Lead
Location: Novartis, Prague, Czech Republic and Barcelona, Spain #LI-Hybrid

About the Role:
To support deployment activities for Direct TAX area in collaboration with function leads and guides in Novartis Corporate Centers (NOCC), countries or above country.
To coordinate in NOCCs with process experts and business champions in own functional area.
The role reports to the Head of TAX Operations Europe and is the NOCC functional representative working directly with the LDC NOCC Finance Lead and ADOPT Finance Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support repeatable and scalable deployment of Lean Digital Core (LDC) Releases of functional business processes.
• Drive in-country business process deployment activities in close collaboration with functional team members to ensure aligned understanding & implementation of agreed release scope.
• Outline, assign and mentor required resources for successful deployment in-country for successful delivery.
• Support Adopt Lead to ensure smooth interaction of expertise areas & activities above country.
• Ensure adherence to LDC template and agreed LSTRs in Deployment process area.
• Support risk management & mitigation of business implementations together with Business or Function Process Lead, including oversight over locally triggered projects.
• Engage with internal customers on functional & deployment results.
• Support user acceptance testing to enable local organization acceptance and support for positive “Go” decision.
• Facilitate robust collaboration between Functional and Business experts (~ country, NOCC's, HUB, ...) to achieve balanced process solutions.

Essential Requirements:
• Strong Direct TAX knowledge (scope is limited in NOCC Prague)
• Strong SAP/S4Hana user knowledge/ experience on TAX side
• Full proficiency in English is required (both written and spoken)
• Validated skills in communication in international environment.
• Proactivity & proactive communication.
• Capacity to move in a sophisticated environment of project management, process owners, users’ expectations, and under financial challenges and competing priorities.
• A self-starter, self-motivated, self-disciplined, self-assured and performance driven.
• An excellent teammate able to operate in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment.
