This is what you will do :
The Director will work closely with international business partners, operations support, and development teams to ensure world class operational support (incident and Service request) and on-time delivery of technical components with desired quality in all phases of SDLC for new applications and enhancements in existing apps.
The Director applications will contribute defining / documenting roadmap, strategy, production support, and release management processes for commercial applications and will be ensuring the correct execution of documented processes in day-to-day activities and manage.
You will be responsible for :
- Works closely with third-party / vendor onshore / offshore resources and the Global IT team to manage, maintain, and deliver value to the business through robust unified commercial platforms.
- Assists Sr Director in managing capital and expense budgets and vendor contract negotiations
- Ensuring key technical components are delivered in time and with desired quality in all phases of new application development or enhancements to existing applications.
- Overlooking internal and external development teams for adherence to best practices and standards. Best practices and standards include security, architecture, coding standards, deployments, and operating procedures.
- Drive the creation and maintenance of streamlined processes for execution of the long-range strategy and roadmap of applications ensuring alignment with Veeva and business needs.
- Collaborates globally with business partners and internal IT stakeholders to gather business requirements and execute IT strategies
- Manage direct reports and additional onshore / offshore resources from vendor or temporary staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees and communicating job expectations
You will need to have :
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Business, or equivalent experience required
- Strong development and architecture experience on Cloud platforms, API development, Integrations
- Strong customer focus with emphasis on usability and simplification
- Proven experience in working with global business and IT teams to collaborate and gather business requirements.
- Strong technical competency with the ability to lead by example and drive change.
- 5 - 10 years of demonstrated progress in managing projects / applications of increasing size and complexity.
- 5 - 10 years of experience leading and managing teams of knowledge workers (operations support and developers), managing vendors, and managed service providers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to interact with application owners and users.
Must be able to translate between technical requirements and business requirements to effectively achieve results.
- Ability to adapt and respond effectively to change, delay, and or shifting priorities and goals.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to aggressively drive project milestones to successful completion.
- Attention to detail, effective problem solver, assertive decision-maker, facilitator, and communicator.
- Experience leading and managing scrum and kanban teams

- Building Omnichannel experiences
- Agile methodologies certification (i.e. Scrum master)
