To extend our team we are currently searching for an EDI Consultant to work with the Professional Services Unit of QAD. The candidate should be willing to develop a career in the Interoperability business and become an EDI Senior Specialist for QAD’s Cloud EDI (QCE) software to our clients in the manufacturing area.
Located in Poland, the candidate will be part of a global implementations team with a lot of international contacts and opportunities to expand his responsibilities within the Services organization.
The candidate must be open to travel up to 1 week per month and flexible to work as per customer time zone.
Basic Function :
After the initial 2-weeks compensated training, delivered by the company, the selected candidate will perform a series of tasks within the team mainly focused on providing support to QAD global customers and partners on the QAD EDI Solution
Main responsibilities will be :
- Analyze customer EDI requirements and map those to QAD ERP processes using EDI Ecommerce module and QAD Cloud EDI (QCE)
- Configuration of EDI communication in QCE :
- Migration of VAN interconnects
- Trading partner direct connections
- Middleware Workflows
- Documentation of specification of mappings between EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, VDA) and QAD Flat File.
- Documentation of specification of integration / business rules for the EDI messages.
- Configuration of EDI Ecommerce Module in the different customer environments using SDLC.
- Work with the development team to clarify requirements and test, validate and document the deliverables.
- Work with the customer to validate the deliverables are meeting their expectations.Training on monitoring of EDI systems using QAD solutions QCE and EDI Ecommerce.
- Work with QAD Services PM to provide pro-active status updates, issues, risk and possible mitigations.
- Submit time and expenses weekly and perform regular status reports as scheduled.
- Other duties may be identified for this role, as requested by management
Qualifications
Education / Training / Work Experience :
Bachelor s degree in software engineering, computer science or other relevant field
Excellent written and verbal English . Other languages will be highly valued.
Experience :
At least 3 years experience with EDI implementations in ERP’s is expected.
Experience with the automotive, industrial and medical verticals.
Prior industry consulting experience .
Experience in implementing QAD EDI ECommerce is strongly preferred.
Required Specific Knowledge & Skills :
EDI messaging standards (ODETTE, EDIFACT, VDA, X12, XML, ...)
Knowledge of configuration EDI tools such as Gentran Server, GIS, ODEX, EDI Manager, Seeburger, EPIC, XE, etc.
Knowledge of most common EDI communication protocols (AS2, OFTP, , FTP, SFTP, FTP / s, HTTP / S, )
ERP Knowledge
Highly valued Specific Knowledge & Skills :
Experience working on EDI communications in either automotive, electronic or life sciences verticals (VAN interconnects, direct connections, etc..).
Programming skills (Progress, Relational Databases, Oracle, Java, SQL, .Net or 4GL languages).
Operating Systems Knowledge such as Windows, Unix or Linux.
Personal Skills :
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (internally and with clients).
Strong Team Player
Problem Solving and Learning skills
Availability to travel
