Be a part of the R&D Malaga team - Ericsson's R&D center in Malaga has more than 200 engineers who lead the company's global network design and optimization (NDO) efforts.
The center researches and takes advantage of the latest Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data technologies in order to offer the best network design and optimization strategies, resulting in optimal performance of mobile networks.
Since its creation, joint R&D projects have been developed at the center with the University of Malaga, facilitating the creation of disruptive technologies, as well as the development of doctoral theses in the field of design and optimization of mobile networks.
About the opportunity
The Operations Engineer internship at Ericsson offers a unique opportunity for exposure to various areas within the company.
Maintaining the company's operations system, as an Intern, your primary responsibilities include support in assisting with technical operations, analysing machinery, running tests and implementing changes.
This invaluable experience is acquired through active participation in day-to-day operations, where interns have the opportunity to learn alongside a highly skilled team of engineers globally in Third Party Products (3PP), Software Licenses and Configuration Management.
You will
Third Party Products
- Work alongside an experienced team on Third Party Products (3PP)
- Learn how to troubleshoot and understand how to report on 3PP issues. We’ll give you the knowledge and confidence to able to own reporting
- Gain experience understanding 3PP documentation and processes
Software Licenses
- Support the team to renew, purchase and cost track software licenses
- Learn how to document software licenses
Configuration Management
- Learn to prepare files related to the product lifecycle management
- Play a supportive role for product structure documentation and other CM documentation
- Be part of the automation in Linux and Python
Key skills
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent degree
- Knowledge and / or experience in Python, Linux and Docker is a plus
Can do" attitude and drive for continuous learning
- Demonstrate examples of high collaboration
- Proactive attitude
- Organizational and structural skills with self-drive, through studies or hobbies
- Teamwork orientation attitude
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
