Job Title : Finance Accounting Controller

Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Accounting Controller to lead our accounting support team to different countries.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of two accountants, the R2R (Record to Report) teams and overseeing critical financial functions such as month-end close, reporting, consolidation, aging analysis, balance sheet management, working capital optimization, internal controls, taxes, audit preparation, and standardization of processes.
The successful candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, the ability to deep dive into financial data, and a strategic mindset to understand the global financial picture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and develop the accounting support and the R2R teams, fostering collaboration and business partnering in a matrix organization
- Manage and consolidate the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting for the different affiliates
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other month-end activities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Manage the consolidation of financial data for multiple entities
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable and payable aging, providing insights into working capital trends
- Oversee balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital and improve cash flow in liaison with the affiliates' Finance Managers
- Establish and maintain robust internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns in the different affiliates in association with the Finance Managers
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations for the different affiliates and implement necessary adjustments
- Prepare and coordinate the annual external audit process, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization within the finance department and the various affiliates;
sharing and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Demonstrate the ability to deep dive into financial details while maintaining a holistic view of the overall financial landscape
- Serve as a role model and leader within the finance team, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented work environment
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and professional growth
Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in a senior international accounting / controller role managing multinational teams and working in a matrix with external partners
- Robust knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, regulatory compliance and tax regulations in different European countries (Austria and Benelux is a plus)
- Strong team player and excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, deal with ambiguity and work in matrix organizations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software, ERP and Microsoft Excel.
- Fluency in English is required
