What You'll Do :

As a Global Engineering Services Director, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, building and leading an engineering team that will help optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of our plant engineering systems’ performance.

You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

Your work will directly impact the creation and execution of a Roadmap to cover gaps in Process and Project safety, Process Controls, Process Modeling, and reduce the energy intensity at our global facilities.

You will also own the return on investment for the roadmap, aligning with the corporate strategy.

What We're Looking For :

• Build and lead an Engineering Services team that will create and execute a transformation plan for governance and expert support in key engineering disciplines such as, Project and Process Safety, Process Control, Process Modelling and Process Energy Intensity and Sustainability.
• Develop and implement an assessment and annual evaluation tool that demonstrates the real-time maturity of process control at Lubrizol’s global sites.
• Baseline energy intensity at our sites and develop and execute a strategy for improvement that aligns with the corporate sustainability goals.
• Create a process modeling team that minimizes the empirical testing required within manufacturing, and supports technology transfers from R&D.
• Build and maintain standards for Engineering Services that support capital project teams, plant engineering teams, and align with the strategy of the corporation.
• Develop KPI’s for the Engineering Services Team that clearly show progress against goals, which will align with corporate strategy.
• Create and monitor a tool to capture, utilize and benefit from best engineering practices within the Lubrizol organization.
• Develop a skills inventory database, and a standard organizational structure for site Engineering Talent.
• Build, lead and develop a team of well rounded, global professionals that can support projects and sites to deliver the roadmap.
• Work with Global Project Engineering team to help identify Most Effective Technologies (MET) and update Engineering standards to reflect MET, while communicating with the sites on any significant changes

Skills That Make a Difference :

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is an asset
• 15-20 yrs combined in plant, regional and Global Engineering leadership roles is required
• Leadership Responsibility for multi-disciplined engineering teams is a must
• Global project management experience is a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 50% globally
