Do you have experience within strategic sourcing and procurement? As a Global Procurement Manager at Essity you are offered to work in an international environment and take place in a competent team of 14 people.
About the role
You will be part of Global Raw Materials team responsible for purchasing of Raw Materials for our Tissue and Personal Care operations with sites located in Europe, North America and South America.
We are part of Global Procurement, belonging to Essity Global Supply Chain organization.
What you will do :
Develop & implement the procurement strategy for the assigned category
Secure supply, deliver on cost efficiency and value creation initiatives
Scan market in terms of best cost in use, quality and innovation opportunities
Proactively manage supplier relationship owning the full commercial responsibility
Stay updated on cost driver development, benchmark prices and ensures cost transparency on a regular basis (internally and externally)
Manage complete contract lifecycle process according to provided tools and procedures
Closely work with SQM team in selection and onboarding of new suppliers to ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external standards
Secure sufficient supplier portfolio to ensure competitiveness within the category
Plan and drive RFX processes to benchmark and ensure best total cost of ownership (TCO)
Review and optimize supplier performance incl. financial risk analysis
Assure access to new innovative materials / products / services from suppliers
Collaborate closely with GBIS BU (Global Brand, Innovation & Sustainability Business Unit) and other relevant internal stakeholders to support all business needs
An ability to travel is a must since you will travel about 30 % of your time.
Who you are :
Degree in Business Administration, Economics or from a Technical education
Proven track record within sourcing and procurement, in an international environment
5 years’ experience within strategic sourcing with a global or regional scope, direct material experience is preferred
Good knowledge of sourcing procedures, techniques and e-sourcing tools
Experience in Microsoft Office, SAP & SAP Ariba is meritorious
Operational procurement experience is meritorious
Experience from a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is meritorious
You who seek are a self-driven person who are used to taking responsibility for your own work tasks. Furthermore, you are comfortable working in a remote team and have an agile approach to be able to maneuver in a matrix organization.
Your communication and networking skills make it easy for you to collaborate with people in all organizational levels. You have a good influencing ability and enjoy leading others in their work where you have a holistic perspective.
In that note you also have the ability to turn strategy into result and have strong analytical skills where you drive continuous improvement.
