Group Data Privacy & AI, Tools & Deployment Specialist

Verisure is seeking a talented, dynamic and resourceful Group Data Privacy & AI, Tools & Deployment Specialist with experience in Tools and Technologies like OneTrust, Power BI and with a keen interest in new Generative AI technologies, AI law developments and technical data protection mechanisms (like encryption, pseudonymization, anonymization, obfuscation etc.

to be part of a passionate team enabling sustainable business growth. The role will be a part of our fast-growing Legal team and will report to our Group Head of Privacy, with a strong liaison with other functions in Legal, InfoSec and i.

e., Procurement and external support partners.

This role will have high exposure and will be expected to have immediate impact. You will partner in identifying actionable solutions partnering with internal and external parties for the technical deployment of privacy process and governance platform technologies and AI, with the aim to ensure a standardized risk management operational approach to meet legal Privacy & AI requirements, against the backdrop of an evolving (EU) regulatory landscape.

The role is preferably based in Amsterdam (Netherlands), together with the Group Head of Privacy, but may possibly be located in Madrid (Spain).

The Legal team

Our global combined legal, compliance, privacy, regulatory advocacy and public affairs team consists of over 100 lawyers and other professionals across the organization that come from 18 countries, representing four continents, with a strong gender balance across all levels of the team, including in the Group legal management team.

We are well-integrated, working closely together across countries as well as the organization to leverage each other’s experience, to develop best practices, and to deliver our colleagues best-in-class legal partnership.

We are currently on a digital transformation journey, integrating AI and other digital solutions into how we operate, led by our Group Legal Operations Manager reporting into the Group CLO, and supported by the Group Privacy Team, led by the Group Head of Privacy reporting into the Group CLO.

The Legal team also offers the ability to continuously grow, with several examples over the past period of moves, growing responsibilities and promotions within the Function.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include :

Tools & digital process enablement (i.e., Mobile App consent development, DSR & Redaction processes, AI governance) and advanced metrics & dashboard functionalities creation.

Lead & Acquisition : management of direct and third-party channels consent & notice.

Inventory of Assets and Processing Activities across company.

PIA / DPIA professionalization and operational endorsement.

Collaboration with IT and InfoSec.

Future planning and exploration of digital agenda.

Ensure compliance follow-up is conducted to ensure risk is appropriately managed for the organization, including the establishment of a sound risk management approach for bigger initiatives and in line with the company’s risk profile and risk appetite.

Providing privacy legal advice and supporting stakeholders in relation to business initiatives and assessing and addressing risk, including by conducting (D)PIAs.

Emerging risks and enforcement Group support.

Privacy Audits, Regulatory Interaction, & (ESG) Reporting Group support.

Location

Preferred location is Amsterdam, possibly alternatively Madrid.

As soon as possible.

Candidate profile

Qualifications, Experiences, and Competencies

Candidates must be privacy and technology specialists with a demonstrable knowledge, experience, and interest in new (Generative AI) technologies and OneTrust software amongst other privacy technologies.

He / she will have exceptional analytical, technical (IT) understanding and communication skills together with a pragmatic and resilient approach.

In terms of experience , the ideal candidate will have :

Experience gained in a global and fast paced organization.

Excellent awareness of and interest in developing digital / data laws in the (EU).

Understanding of, and participation in, strategic projects (e.g., involving data processing activity registers, data subject rights management, consent management and privacy / data protection impact assessments and metric reporting via integrated dashboard).

A successful track record of providing technical, operational, commercial, and strategic advice and guidance to middle and senior management.

Preferably Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP / E) qualification or equivalent.

Preferably experience from a privacy tooling provider, tech firm, major law firm or a business with a strong international footprint.

3 years of professional privacy experience or more - potential for development, appetite to be challenged and energy to learn is key.

In terms of competencies , the ideal candidate will :

Have a pragmatic approach, seeing the legal function as a business enabler.

Have technical understanding of software and hardware, particularly deployment and maintenance of privacy software and processes, as well as communicating such processes to business and legal audiences.

Have effective time and project management skills, with a proven track record of getting things done and leading projects.

Have very high EQ and level of judgment be a strong, confident but humble leader that exerts influence through persuasion.

Be enthusiastic and a high energy individual, with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.

Be an independent problem solver that can set priorities, clearly articulate defensible opinions and enable efficient decision making.

Have the ability and willingness to take a "hands on" approach, while maintaining an ability for a high level or strategic view of activities.
