The Catholic Church in the Diocese of Trier finds itselfin a time of great challenges and change. We are on the path toimplementing the results of the synod - a path of structural andpastoral renewal in which many people are involved.
In addition, weare facing a variety of business and administrative challenges forwhich both our administrative authority and the diocese as a wholemust be well prepared, positioned and supported.
To do this, we need a digitalization strategy thataddresses these challenges and supports the various employees,institutions and stakeholders.
The tools and infrastructure of ourIT and working methods must be aligned with the strategy to bedeveloped and implemented.
For theDigitalization Department (B 4.2) in the Episcopal VicariateGeneral Trier, we are looking for a
Employee(m / f / d) for the management of digitization projects

Your futuretasks will include :
- Participationin the development and implementation of concepts and measures forthe digitalization and further development of IT in the Diocese ofTrier
- Responsibility for the implementationof digitalization projects, including the coordination andmanagement of human and financial resources
- Co-responsibility for employee-oriented solutions, includingstrategies for standardizing and simplifying IT - together with ourcustomers
- Co-responsibility for negotiationswith hardware, software and service providers;
- Representation of digitization topics within the dioceseand its specialist committees.
We are hoping for you :
- academicuniversity degree (Master's) in computer science, applied computerscience or business informatics or a comparable course of study,alternatively : academic university degree (Master's) with severalyears of relevant professional experience or alternatively manyyears of relevant, proven professional experience in digitization;
- Very good knowledge of German and English;
- Experience or qualification in the field ofproject management, service management and agile development;
- sound knowledge of Microsoft Azure / Microsoft 365;
- high understanding ofprocesses and their mapping in IT systems;
- Knowledge and experience in digitization project and processmanagement from initiation to independent control / implementationincluding budget responsibility;
- Knowledgeof practical data protection law;
- High levelof initiative, analytical thinking and communication skills;
- Ability to deal with conflict, decisivenessand assertiveness;
- Independent, self-reliantand structured way of working as well as organizational skills;
- Commitment and time flexibility, highservice orientation and quality awareness;
- Empathy and a sense of humor ;)
