YOUR ROLE

Labour Relations Manager Iberia

Based in Alcobendas, Madrid.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

To oversee the relationship between an organization and its employees, advising both management and union officials on development, applications and interpretation of company labor relations policies and practices and ensuring satisfactory labor-management relations.

  • Designs and implements CEVA Iberia´s labor relations programs, policies and procedures
  • Acts as a liaison between workers and managers to avoid litigations and strikes.
  • Meets with company management on behalf of workers to negotiate contracts, salaries, benefits, employee grievances and company policy.
  • Arranges and schedules meetings between parties in labor dispute to investigate and resolve grievances.
  • Helps administer and facilitate work contracts between unions, employees and managers.
  • Develops and negotiates collective bargaining agreements with unions.
  • Prepares paperwork and coordinates monthly meetings.
  • Leads grievance procedures including arbitrations and assists all levels of management on labour matters.
  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the funcitonal area of responsibility.
  • Capable of resolving escaleted issues arising form operations and reuqiring coordination with other departments.
  • Key point of contact with HR Business Partners. Advising them to ensure compliance with contracts and agreements.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University Degree in Legal field.
  • 10+ years of experience in similar position.
  • Extraordinary knowledge of Labour Law and strong experience with Spanish unions.
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
  • Prior experience of working within a logistics or manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Teamwork (with other departments in HR and with the business).
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Think critically and solve problems.
