RED Global - PMO Analyst (Portfolio Management) - 6 Month Contract Opportunity - Hybrid / Madrid - ASAP
On behalf of one of our global clients, RED is currently looking for a PMO Analyst (Portfolio Management) to join their team to carry out tasks to support GDP Portfolio Management Office to ensure clear visibility of all projects and programmes planned and that these are being delivered to cost, time & quality.
Job Description :

- Location - Madrid, on-site 3-4 days / month in Madrid.
Candidates MUST be based in Spain with a valid work permit for freelance / contracting work and NO additional travel expenses will be paid on top

Role Description :
The role operates globally by partnering with GDP Product Owners to ensure Portfolio Management tool is an accurate reflection of activity and analyses overall financial position.
A portion of the role involves collaborating with the Global PMO & Support Services team as well as the MGS DT Strategic Portfolio Management team to ensure a consistent Portfolio Management approach.
Responsibilities :
- Utilizes the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool for planning resources, project milestones, risks, and financials.
- Engages (Tech) Product Owners & Project Mangers to ensure successful planning and project deployment.
- Escalates Portfolio issues and risks to the DT PMO Manager.
- Support in Platform / Product / Services sub-portfolio reviews with respective senior managers to ensure quality and accuracy of our Project Portfolios.
- Support in preparation of governance presentations.
- Close review of planned vs actuals for Projects within Portfolios - working through issues with respective owners.
- Training and being a single point of contact for the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool for our Product Owners - with status, milestones and financials.
- Act as a bridge between Finance, PMO and GDP community - helping ensure project cost structures are clear and setup prior to starting the projects.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Business analyst certification and project management training preferred
- 2+ years experience in IT
- Experience in business analysis, systems design, application integration, testing
- Project management experience of IT projects
- Knowledge of IT solutions and / or relevant business areas
