Product Owner

The Software Engineering Product Owner is responsible to steer the product development of one or several software platforms.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

• Guide the software development team with regards software feature implementation
• Interact and align the different stakeholders around a product development
• Establish your own product vision aligned with the company's vision
• Define the features and the user stories that will lead to that vision
• Manage the budget and the licenses associated with the product
• Plan a roadmap that orders the features in the short and long term
• Manage the product backlog to achieve the vision including and prioritizing the necessary features
• Collaborate with the quality assurance working group to establish a quality framework that promotes test automation
• Partner with software architect, end users and other Product Owners analyzing their needs to improve the product ecosystem
• Definition and monitoring of the KPIs of the assigned products to measure the quality of the releases.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate must have some experience working as part of a software development team.

• Hands-on lab experience in automatization tools and software development tools, including version control, build processes, debuggers, QA frameworks (Jira, Tosca, Jenkins 2, Selenium, etc.)

• Used to work under Agile/SCRUM methodologies,
• Scripting language and programming experience (Java, Python, Linux shell, etc.),
• Experience on Linux or Windows running tools, scripts and applications themselves,
• Self-management and ability to work independently with limited supervision,
• You have good verbal and written communication skills in English.

ADDED VALUE

Additional experience in the following areas would be a bonus:

• Experience working collaboratively with geographically distributed and international teams.
• Experience in OTT/media/broadcast software development projects
• Knowledge of digital video concepts (container formats, codecs, compression schemes, tools, best practices, etc.)
