Position title :Project Engineer (PreFab) Where will you work? The PreFab Modular Data Center Systems integrates Schneider products into modular enclosures, test the systems in the factory and deliver the final solution to the country of destination.
You will be part of the Europe and South America team to support the regions. During the program, you will rotate in 3 different departments within the Data Center Systems Line of Business : Engineering, Production and Tendering.
On each department you will support each team to define technical solutions, prepare commercial offers, and execute projects end to end for Modular Data Center Systems.
What will you do? · Engineering o Responsible of documentation for simple to medium technical complexity o Coordinate documentation from electrical, mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural discipline to meet customer requirements and production constraints o Coordinate internal communication and follow up to ensure tasks are complete on schedule o Develop BOM (Bill of Material) for the project o Optimizing designs in compliance with relevant regulatory codes, standards, and best practices.
o Perform reliable and efficient communication to main stakeholders : SME, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Drafter, Industrialization · Production o Work on the continuous improvement projects for the plant (digitalization transformation, stock management, procurement & planning tools, 5s, etc.
o Develop detailed BOM and procurement strategies for the project o Working with other team members (Engineering, SMEs, contractors / vendors, and consultants) to resolve technical issues and to ensure the quality and integrity of engineering design execution o Perform reliable and efficient communication to main stakeholders : factories and contractors, Commissioning, Quality · Tendering o Responsible of bid for simple to medium technical complexity o Analyzes simple RFQs (Request For Quotation) and prepares costing as per standard processes and tools o Performs simple risk analysis o Handover to the Execution team o Prepare and submit bid documentation o Perform reliable and efficient communication to main stakeholders : factories and contractors o Perform reliable and efficient communication to main stakeholders : Tender Manager, Solution Architect, SME, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement What will you learn?
- Acquire extensive knowledge of Schneider Electric products, equipment, and solutions. · Acquire knowledge of Data Center Systems and how to design it · Learn the Customer Project Process · Be capable of preparing a technical and commercial offer · You will learn to use Autodesk REVIT program · You will learn to coordinate projects from the perspective of different departments and how to apply agile methodologies · Perform reliable and efficient communication to main stakeholders · Communicate and coordinate communications among key stake holders in the opportunity, including customer, Schneider entities and factories What You Bring : · Fresh graduate in an Engineering discipline, Electrical or Energy Engineering preferrable · Be able to start a 1-year program in May .
- Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken. · Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team oriented and results driven · Critical thinking and problem-solving skills · Influence and convince skills · Foster cooperation and people motivation in a multi-cultural environment and different time zone · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Computer tools at user level : MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, AutoCAD 2D · Some knowledge on Autodesk REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud could be valuable · Proven skills in written and oral communication of technical information What we offer?
