Intermediate Renewals Business Analyst
We are looking for a client centric, product focused, business inclined, and technically savvy Business Analyst who possesses a strong drive for (i) business problem solving, (ii) sustainable revenue growth & retention, (iii) market & product analysis, (v) client centricity, (vi) business process re-engineering, (vii) data analysis & analytics, and (viii) programme management execution.
Duties for the Renewals Business Analyst will include a broad range of tasks to increase the renewal rate of our annuity-based services and protect the business’s monthly recurring revenue by mitigating client churn :
a. SDLC - developing and / or enhancing business processes, tools, data, and systems : (i) BA Planning & Monitoring, (ii) Strategy Analysis, (iii) Elicitation & Collaboration, (iv) Requirements Analysis & Design Definition, (v) Requirements Lifecycle Management, (vi) Solution Evaluation.
b. Root Causes Analysis & Solution Implementation.
c. Business Process Re-engineering.
d. Financial & Product Data Analysis and Analytics.
e. Financials Analysis & Reporting.
f. Programme Management & Execution.
Successful candidates must be able to work with internal and external clients across multiple domains to determine requirements for solutions that address complex business, process, and systems problems, and accelerate improvements in the organization pertaining to renewals and churn management.
The Renewals Business Analyst acts as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization, and to recommend renewal and churn management solutions that enable the business to achieve its financial and profitability goals.
Renewals Business Analyst Responsibilities :
a. Act as a bridge between complex business problems and the technology solutions.
b. Analyse, transform, and ultimately resolve the complex business problems pertaining to contract renewals and client churn with the help of technology.
c. Work with internal clients and apply best practice methodologies to determine business requirements
d. Define solutions to address business, process, information and system problems, improvements or change pertaining to contract renewals and client churn.
e. Deliver business projects in line with executive sponsor requirements and enterprise architecture.
f. Proactive development and deployment of enhanced services and platforms, covering all the functional aspects from service / product definition through to build and deployment.
g. Ensure the identification and documentation of operational gaps including user guides, templates, test cases and related user training.
h. Assist with the resolution of issues pertaining to the contract renewals and client churn.
i. Communicate and escalate if any issues arise or deliverables cannot be met and request assistance to ensure closure of issues.
j. Take responsibility for delivery of project elements with minimal supervision.
Renewals Business Analyst Knowledge, Skills, Attributes
a. Broad understanding of business practices and processes.
b. Excellent team player who displays good client service orientation with well-developed administrative and organisation skills.
c. Meticulous attention to detail whilst working under pressure with limited / to no supervision.
d. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
e. Ability to listen empathetically
f. Ability to build rapport and engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders
g. Knowledge of project management methodology
h. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to convert business requirements into operational deliverables (functional requirements) to meet business objectives.
i. Excellent documentation skills functional requirements, test cases, system user documentation, processes and procedures and presentations.
j. Very good working knowledge of BPMN, Microsoft Exchange, Word, Excel Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
k. Understanding of systems generally used in a services organisation e.g., ServiceNow, Siebel, Remedy, SAP, EMS, would be advantageous
Qualifications & Experience for Renewals Business Analyst
a. 5 years demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst gained within a technology services environment
b. Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with related demonstrable experience management certification would be advantageous
c. IIBA Membership required would be advantageous
d. Relevant Technology Certification(s) across Networking, Cloud, Data Centres, and / or Security would be advantageous
e. Demonstrable experience in and with all operational aspects of a Services business, preferably with a Systems Integrator or an Internet Service Provider.
f. Demonstrable experience in the process of developing and implementing new services and systems
g. Understanding of and experience with ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
h. Demonstrable experience in coordinating and managing tasks, and projects.
