Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.
We’re looking for a dedicated, creative distributed Software Engineer to build the next-generation platform layer on top of which all of Azure Messaging will run.
You will have an opportunity to work on highly impactful components that will fundamentally change the core fabric of our services.
Your focus will be on architecting solutions to help us build out clusters in seconds and solve distributed systems problems that will help us achieve our next stage of growth.

Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings : Microsoft Cloud Background Check :
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency with modern front-end technologies such as React or Vue with TypeScript and SCSS / CSS.
- Experience using RESTful APIs and / or GraphQL to communicate with services
- Attentive to detail, with the ability to match specifications and wireframes in code with high fidelity
- Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills that drive compelling conversations and clear presentations

Responsibilities
- Developing highly polished components and experiences, spanning the development of features from the UX plane all the way to backend APIs.
- Efficient prototyping of UX designs, working both with and without designers.
- Iterating on previous designs based on end user and stakeholder feedback.
- Using data to determine compelling improvements to existing experiences for delighting users.
- Experimenting and developing wireframe proposals for new features or products.
