We're proud to champion a more sustainable way to use tech. With an average of 3-4 rental cycles per device depending on the category, we estimate that the rental of our portfolio from 2015-2021 resulted in 160,000 fewer e-waste products and about 250 tons of e-waste.
To continue this incredible adventure, we are looking for an ambitious Sr. Pricing Data Scientist (m / f / x) who has successful experience applying data science techniques to economics, ideally to pricing or similar commercial topics.
You would be joining a small data team within Commercial who is tasked with building and improving our pricing engine, and ultimately targeting smart automation.
The role is a hybrid full-time position at our Barcelona Hub (2 days per week).
What you will contribute :
- Help build the pricing infrastructure at Grover which includes improving and automating current models as well as creating innovative new approaches
- Drive system design initiatives to optimize processes
- Drive our scientific roadmap to build a price-demand relationship
- Design clear experiment frameworks to analyze and operationalize relevant elasticity KPIs in Grover's Commercial team
- Look at further economic factors like supply, costs, and competition to finetune the key insights
- Work closely with pricing analysts, data team, and commercial stakeholders to understand the business requirements
- Communicate your findings and R&D initiatives to upper management to show incremental value adds to Grover's unique business mode
What you bring :
- A Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (eg Natural Science, Economics, Computing, etc)
- At least 5 years of hands-on work experience in Data Science, including 2 years that were focused on pricing models or similar commercial topics
- Advanced quantitative and programming skills with the ability to process data with SQL (Redshift) and Python (Pandas, Numpy)
- Experiment design and statistical analysis skills with the ability to share key insights with all your stakeholders
- Understand, and have experience training and deploying supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, with particular applications to time-series datasets
- A passion for building models and solving complex problems independently
- Strong communication skills in English (C1)

- Experience using Kubernetes infrastructure for building automation
- A / B testing experience
- Experience using Google APIs
