Description

The AWS Industry Products (AIP) is chartered to build solutions that solve some of the biggest automotive technology challenges by partnering and co-developing with segment leading companies.

Our team directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific products that directly impact and transform industries at AWS scale. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and build products through fast iteration in a start-up like environment.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will manage a portfolio of Industry Products and solutions, partnering with customer executives, business leaders and Amazon teams to define transformational products, develop outcome driven business models, drive product vision and execution, and set new product strategy.

We’re looking for an accomplished technology veteran and product innovation leader to work with a multi-disciplinary team of software developers, subject matter experts, solutions architects, usability researchers, and builders to design, evangelize, and deliver state-of-the-art digital platforms and solutions with and for our customers. A successful candidate can lead exploration with c-suite executives, raises the product technology bar, makes strategic trade-offs between short term opportunity and long term sustainable industry change, thinks holistically about the product landscape, incubates game-changing technology in the face of ambiguous and sometimes shifting requirements, and generally GSD – Gets Stuff Done.

Each ODE co-development is like a start-up. As the product lead in this fast growing, exciting space you will own early market development for new offerings, drive the product portfolio vision, develop production execution strategy, and be responsible for measuring and achieving business results. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, work cross-organizationally to deliver results, and dive technically deep to lead product design decisions.

Inclusive Team Culture

Our team has a developed a reputation for attracting, developing, and retaining amazing talent from diverse backgrounds. Yes, we do get to build really cool services and work closely with customers, but we also think a big reason for our diversity is the inclusive and welcoming culture we try to cultivate every day. We’re looking for a new teammate who is enthusiastic, empathetic, curious, motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively with a diverse team of peers; someone who will help us amplify the positive & inclusive team culture we’ve been building.

Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have twelve employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 16 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.

Work/Life Balance

Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.

Mentorship & Career Growth

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship.
