GENERAL DESCRIPTION

ChemTreat is looking for the right individual to step into our fast-paced, challenging environment as our Remote Warehousing Supervisor.  You’ll be working in a high growth, globally focused area and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders (logistics, procurement, corporate services, manufacturing, finance, legal, gov’t agencies, freight forwarders, & warehouse personnel) to ensure optimal supply chain functionality at our third-party logistics warehouses across North America.  This is a dynamic role that requires a responsive, collaborative individual with high agility, professionalism, and the ability to be comfortable in a lean and rapidly changing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of 3 associates in day-to-day responsibilities, development opportunities, coaching, and performance management
  • Develop and manage network distribution optimization
  • Lead the standardization of logistics operations specifically warehousing, invoice compliance, storage requirements, etc.
  • Manage supplier contract negotiations with engagement from Legal and Regulatory Affairs
  • Report metrics and manage KPI’s for associated 3PL suppliers
  • Participate in/lead projects to improve service to customers and reduce/control costs 
  • Identify problems, recommend, and execute creative/innovative solutions
  • Collaborate across various geographical regions (domestic & international) with various departments including sales, finance, and operations to obtain and analyze data for proforma supply chain models
  • Utilize Danaher Business System and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive sustainable results
  • Logistics market research and supplier sourcing

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Solid understanding of warehouse and transportation operations on a national basis
  • Knowledge of multi-mode domestic/international logistics, and supply chain distribution models
  • Knowledge of TMS/ WMS system operations
  • Working knowledge of the EHS and DOT requirements for transporting and storing of industrial products
  • Experience with industrial liquid chemicals; hazardous & non-hazardous is a plus
  • Understanding of quality management principles
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean operations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Supply Chain a plus)
  • 5-7 years of Logistics Experience (Transportation & Warehousing experience); international preferred
  • Preferred experience in the chemical industry
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, including procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation.
  • IATA, IMDG, DOT HAZMAT, APICS Certification a plus
