About Enterprise Capabilities

Enterprise Capabilities is a service-led organization within AECOM enabling access to a global talent pool. We are currently recruiting a Water Resources Senior Engineer with experience in water and environmental engineering projects, to join our busy and expanding experienced team. This senior engineer will coordinate different water staff in EC Europe as an extension of AECOM Water groups in the US. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. You may have the opportunity to work with some of our US technical experts, supporting key Water projects in the region, being part of a diverse and multicultural team within EC Europe.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinates and leads small design teams focused on water resources and environmental engineering projects.

  • As a senior Water Resources engineer you will act as a technical coordination of EC staff related to, but not limited to any or several of the following fields: floodplain modeling and mapping studies; municipal water resources projects; water quality; stream restoration design; erosion and sedimentation control; open channels; hydraulic structures (dams, embankments, weirs, levees, fish scales, etc.); or analysis and design of stormwater or highway drainage systems.

  • Conducts complex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials, construction techniques, specifications, etc.

  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices, with latitude to determine work priorities.

  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings, including participation in interdisciplinary reviews.

  • Ensures that project technical goals/milestones/budgets are met.

  • Prepares complex project deliverables using a team of junior technical and support staff, providing supervision to and mentoring less experienced staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven track record of working on water resources and environmental engineering projects and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+8 years).

  • Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e. AASTHO, AWWA, etc.).

  • Proficiency in hydraulics and hydrology software packages related to the expertise offered by the candidate (HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital platforms as ArcGIS and CADD (Civil3D, MicroStation and/or OpenRoads)

  • Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.

  • Experience working in the North America region will be considered favorably.

  • Fluent in English (oral and written).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or related field

  • US Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably
