Responsibilities:
Manage a spend of approx. €30-40m & over 2,000 suppliers in multiple indirect categories (Marketing, Product & Technology, Professional Services, Transactions and Corporate Services)
Work closely with the Strategic Sourcing Category Managers and Procurement Managers to align strategies, priorities and execute them
Work hand in hand with Transversal Sourcing Office Lead on crafting and implementing the strategy for tactical sourcing
Build & lead the tactical sourcing team (composed of 2 external FTEs)
Collaborate with Category Managers / Procurement Managers on specific BAU initiatives (RFx, benchmark, supplier base analysis) whenever needed
Stay updated on trends for different categories and apply best practices
Apply global procurement policies and standards
Engage with the relevant Business stakeholders and suppliers whenever needed
Interact with other relevant functions (Legal, Finance & Procurement / Supply Management peers)
Provide guidance and support to relevant stakeholder about the Procurement process (Procurement ambassador) to ensure successful execution of projects & process compliance
Report progress / achievements to line management whenever required
Profile:
Master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering
+5yr working experience in any business field (Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Marketing…)
+5yr category management / sourcing experience
Hands-on & proactive; willing to challenge status quo and to work in an ever changing environment as part of the overall corporate transformation
Continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to leverage existing processes & tools
Data Driven
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and to deal with ambiguity
Strong business acumen
Good analytical and communication skills
Willingness to own and to drive end-to-end initiatives
Team player and team leader
Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
Proficiency in any other European languages (Spanish, French, German, Dutch or Italian) (beneficial but not mandatory)
Knowledge of of Procurement systems such as SAP Ariba, SAP S/4 Hana, Coupa, others (beneficial but not mandatory)
Ability to work in a hybrid set-up (to cope with the home office & office working mode)
Support on the definition and adjustment of ways of working and operating model between the Strategic Sourcing & the Tactical Sourcing teams
Improve buying journeys and Tail End spend coverage to maximize the saving outcome while enforcing compliance
Oversee critical deals and drive negotiation with suppliers whenever needed
Manage P2P related topics around Tail End spend whenever required
Identity key initiatives to maximize profitability and consolidate supplier base (highly fragmented spend with a lot of potential for consolidation)
