Global Logistics Business Analyst
PURPOSE
The Global Logistics Business Analyst is the key source for Business Intelligence for logistics. There are two main purposes of the role :
- Provide insights for strategic, tactical and operational teams to take decisions based on correct and relevant data
- Identify opportunities for cost & service improvements based on data and support our continuous improvement teams in quantifying & prioritizing these for execution
The GBA will work closely together with business decision makers and teams and more technical oriented team members from GWT (e.
g. GPO, data managers) and other functions (e.g. IT) to access, understand and process data from primary distribution, warehousing and secondary distribution.
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES
Prepare information for logistics steering
Global logistics operations continuously thrive for increasing service & cost performance. In order to measure progress and to steer the business, several KPIs need to be tracked, adjusted and corrections triggered.
The GBA will ensure that all important business processes are tracked by KPIs, these KPIs reflect business realities and will continuously discuss progress with business teams.
Prepare decision making
The GBA will prepare all required information for business decisions on strategic and tactical level. Bringing together data and information from different sources, putting them into business context, pre-screening them for validity, filling gaps if necessary is also part of the role.
Ultimately the business teams will heavily rely on the information provided, thus making the GBA a critical role in any decision making process.
Identify & qualify opportunities based on data
The GBA shall continuously monitor & analyze logistics data with a focus on identifying opportunities to improve service and cost.
This requires not only sound understanding of data and relationships between data, but also a very good understanding of business processes and decision processes in logistics and supply chain to qualify any findings, both from a plausibility perspective, but also from a feasibility perspective.
Support projects for primary & last mile logistics
Many different projects in logistics will require data. In close collaboration with more technical logistics data teams, the Business Analyst will act as contact point for business projects and will support these with analysis.
Closely collaborate with technical reporting teams
The GBA will be a main customer for our technical analyst & data teams. Therefore, a solid technical understanding is required, in order to formulate requirements towards these.
In this role the GBA will regularly work with IT and data teams, and will schedule the priorities of work.
Communicate information in digestible form
