The future of motor insurance isreal-time data collection with telematics. We believe thattelematics offers great potential for more accurate and, above all,fairer risk assessment.
However, exploiting this potential is nottrivial and requires a spirit of research and, above all, a highlevel of expertise in big data & data science.
We live and breathe big data : as Germany's largest motorinsurer, we receive high-frequency driving data from our telematicscustomers every day, covering a distance equivalent to 300 timesthe circumference of the earth.
In order to exploit the fullpotential of this complex and multi-layered data, we use thecomplete toolbox of a Data Scientist, from mathematical-statisticalmethods to state-of-the-art AI.

- Research anddevelopment for risk assessment with telematics driving data usingdata science methods
- Design and developmentof complex software solutions based on machine learning algorithms
- Technical support for the productiveimplementation of machine learning models
- Ad-hoc analyses from ongoing operations
- Teamwork in a motivated and agile team as well as overarchingcooperation with related departments
What you bring with you
- Very good degree in computer science, physics,mathematics or a comparable subject, preferably with a doctorate
- Independent and scientific way of workingwith creativity and commitment
- Experience indealing with modern machine learning methods and relevant librariesin Python (Scikit-learn, PyTorch ...)
- Experience in the design and development of big data applications
- Understanding of the principles of softwareframeworks for distributed scalable systems and cloud computing isan advantage
- Strong communication skills,mathematical and technical understanding and a goal-oriented andresults-oriented way of working
- Enjoyworking with physical and technical data
