In Spain, Thales Sistemas is specialized in Command and Control systems, Tactical Communications and Modeling and Simulation addressing solutions in the domain of Defense and Security. Thales is the Spanish leader in tactical Land CIS (Communication and Information Systems) covering all the product life cycle (design, development, production, ILS). Based in Leganés, Thales Sistemas employs a highly specialized workforce of more than 100 people, most of them engineers that participate in the following activities:

• Communications and Information Systems (CIS) to support Command function and Decision Making:
• Embedded electronics for military aircraft
• Tactical Communications
• Radio Navigation Aids for air traffic

As IVVQ Senior Engineer in the Collaborative Combat and Energy Storage Projects, you will do:

•     HW Computing Specification
•     LINUX Environment Definition; HW Selection, Operating System Installation and Customization
•     With SW Development Team, to define SW Architecture Testing Oriented
•     SW Component testing
•     SW/HW Integration & Verification
•     SW Test automation
•     Test Management
•     Validation & Acceptance

Education:

•     Bachelor degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science.
•     You must have fluent English and Spanish level (B2+)

Experience level:

•    5 years of experience among the following: test, integration, verification, validation.

Competences:

Technical/functional skills:

HW:

•     HW Selection for Linux Distro
•     Communications Buses, mainly CAN BUS. COMMS Drivers Integration

SW: Linux Systems Integration

•     Definition of Linux Environments: installation, Distro customization and configuration, libraries, SW Packages, dependencies resolution .

Experience in Definition, Configuration, Exploitation and Maintenance of TCP/IP Networks:

•     Experience in Advanced Networking. TCP/IP networks, MPLS networks, QoS Layer3, PBR
•     Advanced in network environments, mainly CISCO and valuable other manufacturers; definition of architectures and equipment configuration (SWITCHING, ROUTING, ...)
•     Experience in LINUX routing (IPTABLES, TC, ZEBRA environments)

Verification and Validation of HW/SW Systems. Oriented to test automation. Very valuable Python

•     Collaboration with SW Development team in the definition of SW interfaces; APIs, HMI and Testing strategies

Other (advantage):

•     Experience in Defence and Security Projects.

Behavioral skills:

•     Communication skills (oral & written).
•     Ability to work in international teams.
•    Initiative for problem solving.

You must take into account that you should have (or you should be able to get) the Personal Security Clearance to be able to work on National and International defense projects.
