Legal Counsel
We are seeking a motivated Contract Lawyer to join our legal team in EMEA. The successful candidate will actively participate in drafting and negotiating multi-national agreements.
This position offers flexibility in terms of location within the EMEA region, with a preference for Spain, London, and Amsterdam.
Proficiency in English is a must. Your responsibilities will include :
Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to, service contracts with emphasis on facilities management and construction services.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters related to contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, finance, HR, Tax, IT, Compliance, Risk Management and operations, to provide timely and effective legal guidance.
Assist in the resolution of legal disputes and contract-related issues.
Assess and manage legal risks associated with contractual agreements.
Conduct legal research to stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Present insights to commercial team on legal, commercial, and operational risks associated with client contracts, providing constructive suggestions for risk mitigation in the context of companies business and operations.
Support the business in improving governance, particularly in areas of growth, new business lines and / on regulatory compliance, risk management, and best practices.
Requirements :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience as a contractual lawyer, with a strong background in contract negotiation and drafting.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Effective communication skills in English to convey legal issues and collaborate within the legal team and with other departments.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
