The Department of Infrastructure has threevacancies for system administrators in the Linux and backup area inIT at TU Wien, probably starting immediately (part-time from 30hours per week with the option of full-time, permanent) with thefollowing responsibilities.
Your tasks :
- Provision of server systems inthe Linux area based on virtualization
- Optimization of these systems in terms of IT security andperformance
- Implementation ofstate-of-the-art backup infrastructures in the TU Vienna ecosystem
- Implementation of monitoring solutions forserver operation
- Participation in strategicplanning for server systems
- Ongoing trainingon the state of the art in the area of Platform as a Service,backup / restore and related areas
Your profile :
- Completed highschool diploma or IT apprenticeship (initial work experience anadvantage)
- Experience as Linux and backupadmin, esp. for backup systems (e.g. Veeam, tape libraries etc.),
- Shell scripting experience is an advantage
- Ability to innovate
- Personal responsibility
- Accuracy inimplementation and documentation
- High degreeof team spirit
