The team
The Center of Excellence at Hitachi Vantara is a worldwide entity that serves as a platform for presenting our products and solutions to customers and partners.
These engagements involve demonstrations, proof of concepts, lab facilities, and video content. Our team collaborates closely with sales, technical sales, and product management, facilitating the exchange of insights into customer trends, experiences, and requirements to enhance the alignment of our products and solutions.
The CoE is broadening our service catalog to encompass promoting and executing Discovery Services in both customer and partners environments.
The role
The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
In this role the Analyst will develop procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, utilising statistical methods and data visualisation techniques to present findings.
The Data analyst will manage databases, optimise the performance and ensure data integrity. Will develop reports and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
This figure will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CoE Technical Experts, Solution Consultants and Senior Management and with non-technical stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education needed or equivalent years of applicable experience
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data sets using tools like SQL, Excel, and statistical software.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data analysis, such as Python, R, or similar.
- Experience creating visualizations and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with relational databases and experience querying and manipulating data using SQL.
- Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into data analysis tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex problems using data-driven approaches.
