Job Summary: Under the responsibility of the Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager for the Northern US & Canada Markets will have the main mission of developing business in accordance with the company's commercial strategy. Position location is listed as Minnesota, but open to someone living within a state that boarders the US/Canadian line near a major airport.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

Sales/Growth initiatives

  • Propose and develop strategies to expand on existing sales and increase demand and market share.
  • Implement the annual action plans in close collaboration with the marketing department.
  • Negotiate offers and contracts with key accounts to reach annual goals.
  • Reach annual budget goals through sales to new customers and growth within existing customers.

Commercial Excellence

  • Increase company and products awareness by meeting associations, key opinion leaders and by actively participating in shows, conferences, and other events.
  • Provide accurate and timely information for product forecasting.
  • Monitor sales results, ensuring activity reporting.
  • Ensure correct processing of customer orders with the sales administration and occasionally with third parties (shipping, warehouse, customs).
  • Keep good relationships with key opinion leaders and scientific partners. Follow technical and scientific programs in the area in close collaboration with the technical team.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop the relationship and collaboration with distributors and support them in their promotional efforts.
  • Increase sales and customer retention through relationship skills, product training sales skills.
  • Plan and implement product training for customers.
  • Be the ambassador of customer needs: report market trends, customers’ requests and propose products’ improvements and ideas for new products and services.
  • Develop the relationship with associations.
  • Suggest and implement new services and customer programs.

Required Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required
  • 5 or more years of experience in sales, preferably in the biotechnology or agro-industry sector
  • Previous experience as it relates to sales including relationship building and management, customer development, giving presentations, negotiating, and meeting sales goal expectations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Valid Driver’s License and either Canadian or US Passport required for position
  • Must live within the Northern part of the US or bordering Canadian provinces, near a major airport

TRAVEL: Travel is up to 50% of the time, will include international travel between US and Canada
