As a Sales Manager for Electrification Business Area in Shinagawa, Japan, you will be responsible for developing an effective Distribution Solution Division sales strategy in Japan and maintaining it, to improve ABB's market penetration and realize growth aspirations. The local legal entity of this position is ABB K.K.

This position reports to

Local Business Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Defining key sales targets and establishing appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor the performance
  • Anticipating and identifying the shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial actions, proactively
  • Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determines plans for implementation, and allocating required resources
  • Planning and executing customer surveys and acts on the survey results to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
  • Identifying, monitoring and maintaining/exceeding the sales market price levels, after evaluating the pricing impact on the results with the Product Management team
  • Supporting Sales organizations to ensure the achievement of sales volume and product mix targets
  • Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams
  • Identifying and managing potential risks (including cybersecurity) related to contract agreements across customers/channels

Your background

  • More than 5 years of Sales Manager experience which minimum size is at least 2-5 billion yen
  • Experience and success in business development (5 hundred million to 1 billion Yen scale)
  • B to B and industry experience
  • Those with experience in the heavy electrical industry and global exposure
  • Business level of English
  • JLPT N1 level of Japanese
