The Innovation & Technology Development department has a vacancy in its team for the following position :
Laboratory Technician Bioprocess (Innovation & Technology Development)
The Laboratory Technician ensures smooth and safe operation of the I&TD laboratory and executes in collaboration with the relevant scientists experiments for new pipeline products development and process innovation.
The technician will be focused on the development and research of different projects in which fermentation and purification are key processes to be developed and improved.
The main activities and responsibilities
Competence Lead Fermentation :
- Design and optimize fermentation processes for the production of pharmaceutical compounds.
- Conduct hands-on experiments to develop robust and efficient fermentation protocols from bench to larger scale.
- Implement best practices to ensure the reproducibility of fermentation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fermentation processes into overall drug development pipelines.
Member of I&TD Execution team (interaction with other functions and competences) :
- Experience on data science tools and methods
- Experience on enzymology
Scientific direction and Project Management
- Leading collaborations with partners and CROs with deep understanding of technologies applied
- Evaluate data and results generated by external partners to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science field such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar.
- PhD or Master in fermentation, microbiology, biochemical engineering, biotechnology or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fermentation and process development .
- Fluent in English language (written and spoken).
- Project Management, Planning and Analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Decision Making and results oriented.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
