The Senior Manager, Global Sustainable Packaging, Beverages will join PepsiCo’s Global Sustainability Office to support our pep+ Sustainable Packaging agenda and our vision to create a world where packaging never becomes waste. In this role, the Sr Manager will lead the Global Sustainable Packaging agenda for the Beverages side of the business with a specific focus on select sectors. This role will work closely with the Senior Director, Global Sustainable Packaging, Beverages and the Sector Packaging Leads in order to develop and scale next generation technologies and interventions in pursuit of our ambitious pep+ goals.
Responsibilities- Co-lead, with various sector teams, the development of the next generation Global Sustainable Packaging strategy for our Beverages portfolio in these sectors in service of our ambitious pep+ goals (100% RCBR, 50% absolute virgin plastics reduction, reuse 20% of servings)
- Serve as a subject matter expert for sustainable Beverages packaging, with focus on regions of AMESA & APC
- Develop and incubate innovative breakthrough technologies and solutions to achieve the strategy in partnership with sector Sustainability teams and supporting functions (i.e., procurement, supply chain, international beverages, etc.)
- Support the Sr Director with upcoming PEC or BoD presentations with respect to Sustainable Packaging goals
- Work with Sr Director to ideate and scale next generation solutions developed in select markets but with an eye and workplan towards broader, global scale
- Provide support to glidepath management and analysis
- Provide ongoing project management support for key global packaging programs and pilots
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7 - 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, R&D or sustainability in CPG or other related fields
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate across functions and / or geographies to solve complex problems
- Posses strategic thinking mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions and apply analytical frameworks
- Experience developing presentation materials for an executive audience
- Packaging Value Chain experience highly preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,300 - $177,850 based on a full-time schedule
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually
