Job Summary :

Provides technical and / or business process support services, assistance, guidance and general issue resolution in response to how to calls from internal customers involving specific areas of assignment.

Principal Responsibilities :

  • Receives calls, evaluates situations and provides first level resolution, assistance and support.
  • Identifies issues, follows support processes and suggests updates as needed to provide service / issue resolution on first call.
  • Escalates issues / concerns not able to be resolved to the next level as appropriate.
  • Issues call tickets for resolved issues and problem tickets for escalated issues.
  • Uses good listening skills and provides clear communications; thoroughly documents all of the relevant data (to the issue) in the ticketing system.
  • Updates, maintains and manages a variety of logs, files, records and other documents.
  • Identifies problem trends and training issues.
  • May assist with integrating software products, infrastructure, and data based on business needs, communications systems, and evolving technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge of the organization, job, practices and procedures, enabling a high level of contribution.
  • Completes complex assignments requiring significant judgment, initiative and problem solving skills.
  • Work is performed under minimal guidance and assigned in the form of desired expectations. Independent judgment is used to determine best approach and creativity is expected to achieve maximum results and handle new situations.
  • Collaboration with internal or external contacts. May participate on teams for special assignments. Responds to requests from senior management, internal and / or external contacts.
  • Actions may have significant impact to department as well as others. Errors may be difficult to detect and remedy and potentially result in loss of customer business, materials, money and / or time.

Work Experience :

Typically requires a minimum of five years of related experience.

Education and Certification(s) :

High School Diploma or equivalent
