The Digital Foundation & Infrastructure Deployment Tools team is part of the Business Unit Service and consists of a group of dedicated employees.
The team is responsible for developing and maintaining Software Deployment and Monitoring System for Power-Plants.
How to contribute to our vision
For our Deployment Tools team within the Service Business Unit, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Software Developer / Infrastructure Specialist to improve and maintain our solution.
You will be a part of a team which operates in a busy and rapidly changing environment. It is therefore a requirement that you can handle and cope with many parallel ongoing tasks.
You will mainly work in projects introducing new IT-technical solutions.
Tasks and responsibilities, you can expect to be involved in include, but are not limited to :
- Automation of installation through Chef, Ansible, PowerShell and other tools
- Component owner tasks test, verification, documentation and release of firmware and software
- Creating documentation and training material
- Participation in requirement clarification, effort estimation and design sessions
Additionally, you might participate in some support activities for IT technicians located in Onshore, Offshore and Service, and using our solution.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.
The ideal candidate has an academic degree in computer science, Software Engineering or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with the following :
We expect you to have thorough practical experience with agile software deployment using Chef (Ruby) and / or Ansible (Python).
Experience from an air-gapped environment is an advantage.
We expect you have in depth knowledge on virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V), server operating systems (Microsoft / Linux) and scripting (PowerShell / Bash).
IT / OT security must be a high priority for you, and you have knowledge on different security products.
Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results. You have high professional competencies and desire to develop your skills.
You have good collaboration skills, and you like working in a multicultural environment.
To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
