DirecciónOur client is looking for an account manager for their cool offices in Barcelona. You will be providing accounting support to the internal clients and local team.
You will oversee the accounting department, and focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reports.
Our client is based in the city center of Barcelona and they are catered to providing language courses and travel packages to international students.
Tareas
- Support fortnightly payment runs
- Manage employee expenses and corporate credit card transactions
- Collaborate with local teams for accurate purchase ledger
- Advise staff and assist with queries
- Contribute to forecasting, variance analysis, and budgeting
- Provide ad-hoc support as needed
- Manage month-end closure, including AR reconciliation and Deferred Revenue
- Conduct P&L analysis for OPEX, Services, Residences, and Homestay
- Submit monthly and quarterly data into Oracle
- Reconcile petty cash
- Prepare and post prepayments journals
- Maintain Fixed Asset register and post depreciation journals
- Manage utility contracts, including posting accruals and reviewing invoices
- Post general OPEX accruals
- Manage residence costs, review invoices, and post accruals
- Code and post credit card accruals
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Requisitos
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably inclusive of accounting modules
- 2 to 3 years of experience in General Accounting (proven)
- P&L analysis experience
- Previous experience managing a small team
- Previous ownership or involvement in month-end processes
- Excel knowledge (V Lookups, pivot tables, formatting of data )
- High attention to detail and organised approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to process high volumes of work, to deadlines with minimal supervision
- High level of initiative, self-motivation and drive
- Reliable with a flexible attitude
