About the Role
We are looking for a curious, innovative, self-starter, analytical and forward-thinking Payments Strategy Lead, to join our Global Strategy team.
Working with a team of payments’ leaders and strategists, you will be able to define our strategy to enable the Swift financial community to expand its platform across customer segments, a unique opportunity to broaden your reach in terms of knowledge, network and building expertise around the payments industry.
Our Global Strategy team is responsible for developing scalable strategies for designing and distributing next generation solutions from inception to funding and then oversight as these go into general availability around the world.
The Payments Strategy Lead is part of the Consumer and SME Payments Strategy team, which drives segment-specific strategies, focusing on new business opportunities in growth areas of cross-border low-value payments.

What to expect :
- Be abreast on market trends shaping the present and future of the payments landscape, having a good understanding about embedded finance, open banking, digital wallets, P2P payments, ecommerce / marketplaces payments, and remittances.
- Act as a thought leader in payments, having a good understanding of market dynamics, trends and competitive landscape, as well as regional differences.
- Act as a lead to interact with industry players including banks, fintechs, and other PSPs.
- Lead the development of market and internal data analysis on market sizing, segmentation and positioning of the financial community in key customer segments.
- Drive cross-functional and cross-regional alignment on product readiness and roadmap prioritization, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, regulatory bodies and industry associations.
- Define, develop and validate new product concepts and business solutions based upon customer needs, creating clear and compelling product value narratives for internal alignment and external engagement.
- Define detailed product definitions and associated business cases for new and renewed products, within the framework of the overall business strategy.
Coordinate the approval for business cases, provide product and tech teams with product requirements and act as an interface between Product and Commercial divisions.
- Initiate, drive and control product launches to ensure timely delivery of agreed specifications. Manage all aspects of the marketing plan (product / pricing offer, promotion, training of commercial teams and customers and the development of user documentation).
- Align product commercialization strategies, roadmaps and milestones with product managers, go-to-market and commercial teams.
What will make you successful?
- 10+ years’ professional experience including relevant experience in a top Management Consulting firm.
- Professional experience in Payments, FinTech, Financial Services, and / or Technology highly valued
- Outstanding analytics skills, passion for deep diving into data and driving data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write compelling and concise PowerPoint presentations.
- Passionate for developing customer-centric strategies and products, be an outside-in thinker.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA in top business school highly valued.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
