What You’ll Do:
As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the management of all operational activities related to 550MW of operational renewable assets in Spain. Being part of the senior management team, you will also provide your expertise in the management of HSE systems while ensuring compliance with local laws and corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of site managers and operational support staff.
- Provide input into strategic planning and ongoing obligations under the applicable financing agreements.
- Develop, monitor, and manage annual operational budgets.
- Manage contracts associated with operational assets, (service agreements, land leases, etc)
- Support development activities in regards to technical and commercial inputs.
- Represent the Spanish Operations function within the wider Northland business.

- Results-oriented: You know how to enhance daily tasks and are committed to continuous improvement. You can develop long-term objectives but balance them with immediate needs, having a bias for action and driving to solutions that scale our business.
- Agile: You thrive in ambiguous environments and have a flexible approach. You can think and adapt quickly, and pivot from being the key decision-maker to team member in a consensus-driven organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the operational field of renewables assets.
- Strong systems and technical/computer skills including Excel and Word.
- Proven experience in simplifying and streamlining processes.
